Your Comeback Starts Here

Hands about to grab each other with sunlight in the background

Well... I wish we were meeting under different circumstances. Chances are that you came across this site while frantically googling "layoffs", "resume", or maybe even "Why can't I get a job?". Or maybe the company that you work for has increasingly started to use the phrase "AI" in your town halls, emails, and executive directives and you aren't sure what it means for you or your future. Perhaps the never ending news cycle of layoffs has your back up, making you wonder if this is something you should be worrying about in your well established career.

I have good news and bad news. Good news: You were right to seek out a source of information on these topics. Great job! Now the bad news: you are not going to find a succinct one page guide for each topic with all of the answers you are looking for. The business, geopolitical, and technological landscape is changing at a pace never before witnessed in human history. While every news outlet or professional organization is doing its best to stay updated on the latest changes and give information to you on how to prepare, their information can be far removed from the experience that people are having day-to-day. During a layoff, the last thing you want to be reading is tips on how to survive a layoff from a career writer with no corporate experience whose next article from the publication is about how your old company beat revenue expectations for the 10th quarter in a row due to the brilliance of your former CEO. Gross.

But not here. Sack Hacks is about you. The person. You are not just an unemployment statistic or only distinguishable by your assigned corporate employee number. I am not here to coddle you into believing that all the changes happening in the business world will be good for your career or make life easier. I am also not here to leave you completely disillusioned that there is no hope for your future with these changes . My goal is to give an understanding of the upcoming and current reality for job seekers and how to set yourself on a path to success to tackle those challenges in all aspects of your life.

Your contributions to both the workforce and the world have value, even in a world that is as changed as this one. You are unique and irreplaceable. We are here to help companies realize that about you too.

No matter how you came to be here, I am glad you are. Sack Hacks mission is to become the most comprehensive source of all the reliable and actionable information you need to navigate a life full of career and lifestyle changes. From guides on what to do during all layoff stages, course recommendations, self-help book reviews, and helpful personal finance information (and much more!) this website is built for you to learn it all to make your comeback.
